By submitting an event inquiry, signing an event contract, making a deposit, or using any services provided by Parq Event Center ("Parq," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Parq Event Center, a venue operated at 615 Broadway, San Diego, CA 92101.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not book, reserve, or use our venue or services. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The most current version will always be posted at parqeventcenter.com/terms.
All event reservations must be confirmed in writing via a signed event contract. A verbal agreement, email inquiry, or submitted contact form does not constitute a confirmed booking. Your date is not secured until a signed contract and required deposit have been received by Parq Event Center.
To secure a reservation, the following are required:
Events at Parq Event Center are subject to minimum food and beverage spend requirements that vary by date, space, and event type. Minimum spend requirements will be clearly outlined in your event contract prior to signing. Failure to meet the minimum spend does not reduce the Client's financial obligation — the difference between actual spend and the minimum will be charged to the Client.
Date changes are subject to availability and must be requested in writing no less than sixty (60) days prior to the original event date. A date change fee may apply. Date changes within sixty (60) days of the event will be treated as a cancellation under Section 3 of these Terms.
All deposits are non-refundable. In the event of a Client cancellation, the following charges apply in addition to forfeiture of the deposit:
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to Jill@parqsd.com. Cancellation is effective on the date written notice is received by Parq Event Center.
Parq Event Center reserves the right to cancel an event in cases of: force majeure (including but not limited to acts of God, fire, flood, earthquake, pandemic, government order, or civil unrest); non-payment; material breach of contract by the Client; or safety concerns. In the event of a venue-initiated cancellation not caused by Client breach, Parq will refund all payments received, which shall constitute the Client's sole remedy.
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this agreement due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, utility failures, or public health emergencies. In such cases, the parties will work in good faith to reschedule the event when possible.
A deposit is due upon signing the event contract to secure the date. The remaining balance is due no later than fourteen (14) days prior to the event unless otherwise specified in the contract. Events with less than thirty (30) days notice require full payment at time of booking.
Parq Event Center accepts payment by credit card, ACH bank transfer, and certified check. Personal checks are not accepted within thirty (30) days of the event. All payments must be made in US dollars.
Balances not received by the due date may result in cancellation of the event and forfeiture of all deposits paid. Parq Event Center reserves the right to charge a late fee of 1.5% per month on outstanding balances.
Any charges incurred during the event beyond the contracted amount (including additional bar consumption, overtime, damage, or additional staffing) will be billed to the Client's credit card on file within five (5) business days following the event.
Client and all event guests must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including those governing alcohol service, occupancy limits, noise ordinances, and public safety. The Client is responsible for ensuring all guests comply with these requirements.
Events must not exceed the maximum occupancy limits established by the San Diego Fire Department and posted throughout the venue. Current limits are: Main Room — 1,100 guests; The Lounge — 250 guests; The Lair — 350 guests; Full Venue — 2,400 guests. Exceeding these limits will result in immediate stoppage of the event without refund.
Parq Event Center holds the applicable liquor licenses for the premises. All alcohol consumed on the premises must be purchased through Parq Event Center's licensed bar service. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited. Parq reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to any individual and to stop service at any time. All guests must be 21 years of age or older to consume alcohol. Valid ID is required.
The following are strictly prohibited on the premises:
The Client is financially responsible for any damage to the venue, its equipment, or its furnishings caused by the Client, their guests, vendors, or contractors. Damage assessments will be conducted following the event and billed to the Client within ten (10) business days. Parq Event Center reserves the right to retain the security deposit, if applicable, to cover damages.
All outside vendors, decorators, florists, photographers, and production teams must be pre-approved by Parq Event Center and must carry their own liability insurance. Vendor access times and load-in/load-out procedures will be coordinated in advance with the Parq events team.
All events must conclude at the agreed end time specified in the event contract. Overtime will be charged at a rate of $500 per 30 minutes, billed in 30-minute increments, subject to availability and staff willingness. Parq reserves the right to end an event at the contracted time without exception.
Parq Event Center's Funktion-One sound system and in-house lighting infrastructure are available for use during events as specified in your contract. Outside audio-visual production teams and DJs are permitted subject to the following conditions:
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PARQ EVENT CENTER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, PERSONAL INJURY, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OUR VENUE OR SERVICES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL PARQ EVENT CENTER'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SPECIFIC EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Parq Event Center is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property of the Client or event guests. Clients are advised to arrange their own event insurance for high-value events.
Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Parq Event Center, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and contractors from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

If you wish to restrict Parq's use of event photography, you must submit a written request prior to the event date. Parq will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests.
The Client retains ownership of any original content created specifically for their event (presentations, branded materials, etc.). Before initiating formal legal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation. Either party may initiate this process by providing written notice to the other party describing the dispute in reasonable detail.
If informal resolution is unsuccessful within thirty (30) days, any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of Parq Event Center's services shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its applicable rules. The arbitration shall take place in San Diego, California. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. If this waiver is found to be unenforceable, the entire arbitration clause shall be null and void.
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek emergency injunctive or equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Subject to the arbitration provision above, any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
